Imagination coming to life through paper, glue, foam sculptures, and paint.

Imported into Adobe Photoshop where more details were added, such as reflections, highlights, shadows, textures, steam, and more. Printed as a 72 dpi JPEG file on an HP Z6200 large format printer. Hollywood Backlot: Children's Worship Rally stage. Every eight weeks, or as directed, I printed and assembled a new stage for a theme. Although a file for stage art came with the study materials, the provided scene didn't always fit the walls being covered. Custom graphics were needed to fill in the gaps. My part in the stage below was making the brick walls in Photoshop and the custom made backlot signs.

The Rock Cafe: Meadowood Baptist Church Children's Ministry renovation of the 5th grade classroom. An all-purpose activity room. Concept drawing and floor plan was rendered in Adobe Illustrator, then imported into Photoshop to add colors, textures, and details. Once approved, the rock wall was carved from four large slabs of foam, coated with a durable sealant, then painted. Detail photos are provided below.

The 2012 Royal Family Breakfast: Originally 'The Princess Breakfast,' a special event for girls. This event grew popular with the entire family. Colaboration with the client determined the themes. Foam sculptures and paint were used to make regal settings, embellished with plastic jewels, and metallic paints. Custom scene setters were assembled in Adobe Photoshop and printed on a large format printer to create depth, featuring photographs of children from previous events.

Kid's Town Theater: A remodeling of an existing children's worship and activity room. Pictures of the room were taken and used to make concept photos for the client to view. Colors, carpet, and a loose Art Deco style was chosen through this process. A crew was brought in to build an elevated stage. Another crew was hired to paint the ceiling and the stage black. I helped the client paint the room walls and assemble the stage walls. I was solely responsible for the decorative trim and panels, pillars, and theater signage.

Four (4) 'before' photos: The visual frenzy and less than helpful stage.
